  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons freshly crushed ginger
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey per cup OR Turbinado sugar (as desired)

  1. In a medium pot start to simmer both water and milk together.
  2. As it's simmering start by adding the crushed ginger directly into the pot.
  3. Let it boil with the milk and water together and release its juices, also add in the teaspoon of turmeric fresh or powder. Mix well with a spoon and simmer for another 5-6 mins.
  4. Let the mixture boil until its almost overflowing the pot then turn down the gas to low and simmer for another 2 mins before straining it out in a cup.
  5. Lastly, add just 1 teaspoon of honey or Turbinado sugar (I recommend not adding too much sugar).
  6. Serve.
