The Summer Drink

This is the ultimate drink of the SUMMER in a glass. I am completely in love with this non-alcoholic mojito tasting drink. It’s perfect for a summer party or a Memorial day gathering with family and friends. Refreshing taste will set your mood to a relaxing one. Give it a try this weekend.

The Summer Drink

  • Freshly squeezed juice of 1 large lemon
  • 2 sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • 2.5 cups of ice water
  • 1/4 cup of granulated or any sugar of your choice
  • half a teaspoon of kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons of local or wild honey
  • 5-6 roughly chopped sweet basil leaves (or mint leaves)


  1. In a glass jar, start by adding 1 cup of ice
  2. Next, add freshly squeezed lemon juice
  3. Add 1/4cup of granulated sugar
  4. 2 sliced strawberries
  5. Add in the sweet basil leaves
  6. Pour 2.5 cups of Ice water to the Jar
  7. Add freshly crushed sea salt and with a large spoon mix all the ingredients.
  8. Lastly add in a tablespoon of honey and mix well. The honey will thicken because of the cold ice water but with your finger scrape it off the spoon into the jar.
  9. To serve, add some more ice cubes, sliced strawberries, basil leaves and drizzle a bit of honey on top. (a tablespoon of honey is good for 2 glasses of the drink)
  10. Enjoy the crisp taste of summer in a glass.
