My Best Mac ‘n Cheese

Seriously, there are many Mac ‘n cheese recipes you will find online. Let’s not forget practically all the restaurants have their cheesy version of mac-n cheese. But I assure you my daughter prefers this homemade-easy to make recipe the BEST! Maybe it has a perfect combination of cheese, milk, butter, and some flour too.

 

My Best Mac 'n Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 A cup of Sargento (sharp or extra sharp cheddar cheese shredded)
  • 3 cups boiled macaroni pasta (I prefer Barillo)
  • 2 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • A dash of salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil 1.5 cups of dried macaroni to get 3 cups of boiled pasta. drain. set it aside.
  2. In the same pot on low flame add in 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon of flour.
  3. Whisk the butter and flour together, slowly add in half of the portion of the milk(1-2 tablespoons).
  4. Once a smooth paste, add in the warm macaroni to the pot along with sharp cheddar cheese.
  5. On a low flame mix the cheese in slowly, add the rest of the milk to the pot.
  6. Keep on stirring smoothly without breaking the milk.
  7. In 5-6 mins turn the flame off and check for salt (if needed add a dash)
