Welcome! I’m Rose, the author of Thecurrytheory.com.
I was born in the city of Pune and brought up in one of the largest cities in the world, Mumbai. Early on as a child, I loved watching my mother cook and create magic in her tiny kitchen, She intrigued me by the way she made everything taste and smell so good. Growing up in a one-bedroom house with 6 of us was a struggle but we loved every minute of it. My mom is my biggest inspiration in learning and loving the art of cooking. She also taught me to work hard, be patient, and trust in God. My family was fortunate to immigrate to America in the year 2000. “America the land of opportunity and Freedom” as my dad calls it, has truly been that for us. We had our struggles moving to a new country but we overcame every hurdle victoriously and still do. I graduated with a B.S in Business Administration from a small Christian school in Cincinnati, OH. I wasn’t content with my career choice but still worked in Business related fields successfully. I finally realized Accounting and finance weren’t for me.
My life completely changed in 2007 when I moved to Philadelphia as a newlywed. Fast-forwarding to 2020, I’m a proud mother of three wonderful children with an amazing husband of almost 13 years, Now more than ever, I have discovered my passion for cooking and loving what I do. I’m greatly motivated to learn and create new recipes with the help of my all-rounder seasoning which I learned from my beloved mother. This seasoning brings undeniable taste to the dinner table. The generational secrets of health are unlocked in this one recipe when used in almost all types of foods. I have learned a whole lot from just observing my mom and my mom-in-law in the kitchen. I love those ladies and their earnest passion for family and food. It has brought me to the realization that dinner time at the table is the most important part of a happy family. It’s the time we spend with our loved ones sharing our “good and bad day” stories, laughs, and savor the food too. Food plays a major role in bringing families closer together and making them stronger.
My passion for food and hospitality has pushed me out of my comfort zone into sharing my joy of cooking with others. I hope this blog helps you reveal your inner potential to a greater extent in the kitchen. I’m proud to share the stories of my rich heritage and colorful culture through my food. Learn to have your way with spices and seasonings that adds up to a delightfully tasty meal at your table because, as I like to say, “taste matters”.
